This is the first time I’ve really been disappointed with Blizzard’s content. It’s not the end of the world, and I’m going to keep playing, of course. The Faire has immense potential (a scavenger hunt, perhaps? A race against time and other players – whoever fulfills the goals first gets a unique prize. Easy enough!), but, well, it’s simply not there. Yet.

[...] But the most played game of the weekend was a little something called World Of Warcraft. If you’re a regular reader, you might be aware that JZ has mentioned it before. So I had to see what all the fuss was about. We set up a second account and installed the game on one of his older computers (and by we I mean he did this; I sat around and didn’t help at all. I’m a great friend) so we could quest together. Let’s just say that we started with brand new Undead characters, named them Rosyncrantz and Guildenstyrn, and played it long enough over the course of the weekend to bring them up to level 12. JZ has the final time stats on how long we actually played…but it was a lot of playing. And it was awesomely fun. I worked up to the point where I was a Journeyman Skinner and was proficient enough in Leatherworking to make almost all my own clothes. In the game. In real life, I’m as useless as I was when I left. Anyway, the game’s incredible. I’m suddenly thankful for the shaky internet connection in 305, because if I got this game my life (such as it is) would be over. [...]
