Another Elbow post
April 20th, 2006 by ptm
Tonight, in New York City, my boys Elbow will be playing their only east coast show of the year at Webster Hall. And I, unfortunately, won’t be able to make it. I’m pretty gutted about it…but hopefully it won’t take them another three years to do a proper tour here. And I can always close my eyes and remember the Hiro.
But, in honor of the show tonight, and to being making up for the recent lapse in New Music Tuesday posts, I present some live Elbow music for your listening pleasure. These are two recent radio broadcasts recorded on the west coast during this tour, and the audio are compliments of So Much Silence, an excellent music blog. These are excellent performances with solid audio quality; there’s a good amount of overlap on the song selection, but that’s all right. Great Expectations, Switching Off and Scattered Black & Whites come especially highly recommended.

Elbow – Live on KEXP from the Triple Door (Seattle, 4/11/06)
And if anyone does, by chance, see the show tonight, please leave a review in the comments. With the full knowledge that my jealousy for you will burn with a white hot intensity for years and years.
